Tineke studied Global Environmental and Sustainability Studies at Leuphana University Lüneburg and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Environmental Management at Kiel University. During her studies she has explored coastal systems in Germany, Australia and the Mediterranean from physical, ecological and socio-economic perspectives, including coastal morphodynamics, coastal change, ecosystem dynamics and human–environment interactions.Her main interests are coastal management, wetland and marine ecosystems, nature conservation and climate change adaptation.
Tineke supports the CRSLR team as a research assistant, contributing to research through literature synthesis, data exploration and preparation and GIS-based spatial analyses.
